Back for another magical evening, some of Broadway's leading stars are heading up to the Green Mountains for a special outdoor concert event. Vermonter Merritt David Janes who performs regularly on Broadway and in national tours will bring his friends for “Broadway In Vermont.”

Enjoy your favorite songs from unforgettable shows. The singers, accompanied by a live band, will perform songs intermingled with stories about their professional journeys. The event will be an intimate look at some of the most legendary musicals and life as a Broadway performer. Pack a picnic or enjoy delectable offerings from JDK BBQ.

Merritt David Janes

Originally from Colchester Vermont, and straight in from 400 shows with Back to the Future on Broadway as Principal Strickland, Merritt is a graduate of the Circle in the Square Theatre School in New York City, and is an alumnus from the University of Maine (Class of '04 and 2012 recipient of the Spirit of Maine Alumni Achievement Award.)

Janes' professional career began playing the title role in the first Broadway National Tour of the Wedding Singer as Robbie Hart. He would then move immediately into his second Broadway National Tour in his second consecutive title role as the youngest actor ever to tour the part of the murderous barber Sweeney Todd. Moving next into the role of the magical French candelabra, Lumiere as an original cast member of Disney's newest creative version of the Beauty and the Beast Broadway National Tour served as great contrast to both of his previous productions, as did the role of Lord Farquaad in the Broadway tour of Shrek which became an around the world adventure with an international run in Asia. He then played the role of Carl Hanratty chasing Frank Abagnale all over the country in the first Broadway Tour of Catch Me If You Can. He was an original cast member in the 25th Anniversary Broadway Tour of Phantom of the Opera and has most recently finished the 1st National Tour and Broadway run of School of Rock as Dewey Finn. Amber Andolino

Amber Andolino is currently playing Marcia Murphey in A Beautiful Noise on Broadway! She was last seen as Linda McFly in the OBC of Back to the Future. Other Original Broadway casts include: Funny Girl, Moulin Rouge and Head Over Heels. Amber was seen in the Original Chicago Company of Hamilton before transferring to the Broadway company to make her Broadway Debut! She was formerly seen in Vegas starring as Sherrie in Rock of Ages. She has toured nationally with multiple shows including Flashdance, Legally Blonde and West Side Story. Amber’s film credits include: Elsbeth, Law and Order, In The Heights, and Fosse/Verdon.

Jelani Remy

Jelani Remy is currently starring as Goldie Wilson/ Marvin Berry in

Back To The Future at The Winter Garden Theater! He is a Montclair

State University alumni who made his Broadway debut playing the role of Simba in Disneys The Lion King! He also starred as Eddie Kendricks in Ain't Too Proud The Life and Times of the Temptations. Off Broadway and regional credits include Smokey Joes Cafe, Cabaret, Oscar Micheaux Suite, In the Trenches, Love Around The Block and stage productions of Disneys High School Musical 1 & 2!

Andy Peterson

Andy is an award-winning New York-based composer, musical director, arranger and orchestrator originally hailing from the Land Down Under. He holds a Bachelor of Music (Composition) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. This year, he was most recently in China setting up shows for the opening of Universal Studios Beijing. Matt Cusack

Matt Cusack is a Broadway musician and actor, songwriter, arranger and producer. You can see him regularly perform with the Broadway bluegrass band known as The Playbillies of which he is a founding member. His bass playing can be seen and heard on the show The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. He regularly works as a producer and arranger for theatre, podcasts, and audio books. Raghav Mehrotra

Since the age of 3, Raghav has amazed all with his innate sense of rhythm and feel on the drums. After many countless hours of playing live music across genres with the local School of Rock program, he was fortunate to be hired as a principal character in Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber's Tony-nominated School of Rock, the Musical on Broadway where he performed (acted, sang and played live drums) for over 500 shows in the span of 18 months. While at the musical, he had opportunities to perform including (but not limited to) at the Tony Awards, Good Morning America, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. He returned to work with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber on the 30th Anniversary of The Phantom of the Opera and to support the American Theater Wing. Seeing his picture on a billboard in Times Square was probably among the proudest moments of his time on Broadway.

Raghav has since developed his unique voice on the drums through his musicality and creativity and has a dedicated following on social media where he posts short clips of what he is working on and inspires many others to create alongside him. He has been regularly collaborating with legendary bassist Doug Wimbish (Sugarhill Gang, Living Colour) and has played shows with him across the country. Raghav was recently back as a guest drummer sitting in with the 8G Band on Late Night with Seth Meyers (2019, 2021, and 2022), and has been active in the drumming education community, conducting several lessons for Drumeo. He has been recognized as one of the Up & Coming Drummers in a recent Modern Drummer Reader’s poll and by many prominent musicians like Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, Steve Smith, David Liebman, Questlove, AR Rahman, Jacob Collier, Ashton Irwin, and Lenny Kravitz.

Nick Cabrera

Nick Cabrera is a freelance musician based in New York. With 10+ years of performance experience, his repertoire is as diverse as it is extensive. 2000’s rock to 90’s R&B to Latin. WHAT TO KNOW

COVID Protocols: Masks are not required, but recommended.
Rain Location: Harwood Union High School Auditorium, 458 VT Route 100, Moretown, VT 05676..
Time: Gates open at 5:00 PM. Do not come earlier than 5:00 pm. Concert begins at 6:00 PM and will last until approximately 8:00 PM. There will be a brief intermission.
Parking: Parking on site is limited. Carpooling is highly encouraged.
Food: JDK BBQ food truck will be selling food. You may bring your own picnic and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. Remember to drink responsibly.
Trash: Take everything you came with, including trash. There will be no public receptacles.
Assistance: If you require mobility assistance, notify the parking volunteers. A golf cart may be used to transport you to the event site.
Pets: No pets allowed.
Main Lodge & Treehouse: Only B&B guests are allowed entry into the main lodge and the treehouse. We appreciate your help in maintaining our guests' privacy and safety.
